help identify my machine?

I bought this machine last week with the idea of making it a beer machine in my garage. I no it's been repainted and I'd imagine the face isn't original , I think the original color was yellow as the inside is yellow in places. I can't find any model numbers or name plates and the old owner has no idea either. Any help here? I also need help with making it free vend, what to use to clean the inside where soda spilled and what to use to oil the drive chain because it's sticky and when the machine gets cold it doesn't want to rotate the soda down. Any help would be great!!

WOW! That's is an old machine.

lostinindiana,
I used to own one that looked like it, but I never could find out the brand for sure. An old timer told me it looked like an old Corneilius machine. Mine looked a lot like the pic below except it was painted white. Oh well maybe some old timer will see it and help us out with a brand name.
I may be able to tell you how to set it to free vend. You just set the price to zero. If you will upload a picture of the coin mechanism on the inside I will attempt to tell you how to do that.

Setting price on S-75 Coinco

lostinindiana,
OK, looks from the wires in your picture that your machine is set up for single price.
Since you have a Coinco S-75 coin mech, you need to download the manual in pdf for a S-75 Coinco coin mech from the coin mech service manuals section of this website, it located in the free eBooks section of the Vend Info menu tab.

After that you need to open then acceptor (upper part) like in the pic below.

Then open the S-75 manual to page 3. You will see a drawing of two different insides. One of those should look like the insides of your coin mech. The instructions on how to set the switches (that set the price) are to the left of the drawings. You just want to set the price to zero, so all of them would be set to off. The instructions are fairly clear.
If you have any problems post another question.
Hope this was helpful.

*sorry you couldn't upload your pic but the size limits are small.

Thanks for the help. I am

Thanks for the help. I am now able to set the prices, but even when I set all five of the rocker switches down it will not vend. I can set the price to nickels or dimes though, maybe that will be easier than setting it up to free vend.

Setting an old vending machine to free vend

You can set the prices to zero on a late model vending machine with a pc board to get it to free vend. But on an old model vending machine it requires some rewiring.
